Moderna Doubles, Yields Crack: Indexes Snap a Three-Session Slide

The S&P 500 closed 7,707.98, up 0.21%, snapping a three-day slide after Treasury doubled long-end buybacks and Moderna surged 177% on Phase 3 melanoma-vaccine data. Chips kept selling, volume ran at barely half of average, and the index faded from 7,744 to finish eight points off the session low.
