S&P Holds 7,712 as Warsh Reprices September and Nvidia Hands Back Thursday
Friday was digestion, not a breakdown. The S&P 500 closed at 7,711.76, down 0.25%, after Chair Kevin Warsh's Jackson Hole keynote lifted September hike odds. Nvidia gave back 4.6% of Thursday's spike; PayPal and Marvell led the large-cap casualties. The week still ended higher.
